    The Careers & Employability Service offers a fantastic programme of career development workshops and employer presentations to help our students maximise their chances of career success.  The workshop sessions are crammed with information and practical tips, whilst our employer presentations offer students the chance to network, find out about job opportunities and what organisations look for in potential candidates.

  • Work smarter, not harder.

    New and improved versions of Windows and Office for all MMU staff.

    All computers across the university will be upgraded to Windows 7 and Office 2010 in the coming months, so IT Services are offering a short introductory workshop, which is proving to be very popular.

    The workshop takes just an hour and is suitable for all members of staff. It’s designed to highlight and explain the most important new features of Windows 7 and Office 2010, showing you useful shortcuts and techniques to help make your life easier.

    Topics covered include:

    • Using the new Taskbar and Desktop
    • Accessing the Office Backstage view
    • Customising the Office Ribbon

    The course will also explain how Outlook 2010 is tied in with the new IP telephone system and how Outlook can be used to access phone settings.
