We currently have places left on this ILM 1 day session on
Coaching & Training your Work team. The course looks at
approaches to training your team, reviewing a number of training
techniques. Understanding how to coach individuals and looking
at identifying coaching and training needs. Review of learning
styles and how these effect the way we learn and ways to give
feedback and evaluate training.
The course is a full day and takes place on Wednesday 18th April
on the All Saints Site and is a module from the ILM Certificate
in First Line Management which carries 2 credits at level 3 if
candidates choose to complete the assignment. Candidates can
attend this as a stand alone training course and are
therefore not required to do any assignment. If you would like a

We are running an instance of British Sign Language (introductory) Course on Wednesday 23rd May 2012 at All Saints.
This 1 day course is for any member of staff likely to be communicating with BSL users. The course is for beginners and so no prior experience is needed.
There are an estimated 60,000 BSL users in Britain making it the most widely used UK language after English and Welsh.
Learn the finger-spelling alphabet allowing them to spell any word using sign language
Be able to give basic information about themselves in BSL
Be able to sign numbers in BSL
Learn how to give directions in BSL
Learn a number of signs useful in their workplace
The aim of the course is to give participants an introduction to this fascinating language and build confidence in their ability to communicate with BSL users

The Centre for Learning and Teaching is pleased to offer this unit as part of a selection of short courses running in the summer term at the All Saints Campus. This unit will be delivered over 4 Wednesday mornings on 23rd May, 30th May, 6th June and 13th June 2012.
This unit introduces the student to a broad range of statistical analyses via computer using SPSS . Skills acquired through completing this unit include: variable coding; data inputting; data analysis; the interpretation of the results of the analysis; and the presentation of the results of analysis in a publishable format using text and graphical representation. This unit would be of particular benefit to individuals engaged in academic research activity. It would also appeal to lecturers supervising students conducting quantitative research.

We are currently introducing evening language classes starting from 24th of April 2012.
We offer evening classes in a range of languages. If you are a student, staff or member of the public wishing to learn a new language or brush up on your existing language skills in your free time, then these courses are for you.
Tuesdays- Beginners Spanish, German and French
Wednesdays- Beginners Italian, Mandarin and Arabic
Thursdays- Post GCSE’ Spanish and French
All start 4.30pm to 6.30pm, and run from the 24th of April for 5 weeks
The fee is £80
Or £60 for staff and any students wishing to do extra language courses
There will also be and intensive one week course(Spanish Beginners) running from 25th -29th June also 4.30pm – 6.30pm each day.
