On the 19th December the Organisation Development, Training and Diversity team (ODTD) are hosting an event ‘Creating our future together’ which is open to all staff from any part of the University.
The event from 9am - 1.30pm at All Saints - will see the launch of the MMU Change Academy which will provide resources and support to members of staff who want to transform or improve any aspect of the work their team delivers.
The Change Academy has been created following a cross-MMU and SU team’s involvement in the 2010 national HEA and Leadership Foundation for Higher Education national Change Academy.
Members of the team included past president of the SU Robert Croll, Diane Wright Head of Business and Management, Peggy Cook, Head of CASQE and both Deputy Vice Chancellors Kevin Bonnett and Gerry Kelleher.
Inspiring change
As well as being able to find out more about the Change Academy attendees will have another chance to hear Damien Hughes – visiting professor at the Business School talk about the concept of ‘Liquid Thinking’ and to give us a sneak preview of his new book ‘Change Inspiration’.
Workshop sessions where you can try out different transformation and improvement tools and techniques are on offer as well as ‘Master Class’ sessions hosted by colleagues from across the University.
With live music courtesy of the ‘Acoustic Lounge’ project from the faculty of Art& Design and lunch provided it should be a fantastic and enjoyable event.
To book a place please email dandtcoursebookings@mmu.ac.uk or contact Paul Walsh, Alison Laithwaite, Helen Vaughan or Josie Elson for more information.
