VICTORIA Stone is the new branch coordinator for the Association of University Administrators (AUA).
Victoria, programmes officer for All Saints Central, takes over the voluntary role from John Burgess, SAS development manager, in running activities and promoting AUA membership among colleagues.
The AUA is the principal professional body for HE administrators currently has more than 4,000 members who benefit from career development and networking opportunities
Victoria said: “I’m very excited to be taking up this fantastic opportunity; John has done a great job over the past few years in bringing the MMU AUA Branch to life.
Manchester conference
“2012 will be a very busy and stimulating year for the AUA member, especially with the National Conference taking place on our own doorstep, at the University of Manchester, so I am looking forward to it”.
The Annual Conference will take place from 2-4 April and feature high profile speakers such as Kate Adie, former BBC correspondent and David Ruebain, Chief Executive of The Equality Challenge Unit.

University registrar Gwyn Arnold thanked John for his sterling work and wished Victoria well with her new role, and John added: “After over three brilliant years in the role I felt it was right to open up these opportunities to someone else. I’m sure Victoria will enjoy the role and do a great job.”
