CAREERS and Employability and Learner Development have extended their opening hours to coincide with their move to the new building.
The team, which is now based in the new Employability Hub (on the right as you enter), is determined to improve the support they offer to students, graduates and employers.
Rita Lewin, head of Student Employability & Success and deputy director of Student Services, said: "I am grateful to the staff involved for working flexibly to achieve this and hope the later finish will allow us to reach more students by offering our information and guidance services beyond the traditional finishing time.
"We anticipate that employers in particular will value the longer opening hours when seeking advice on recruiting our student and graduates and providing us with job vacancies.”
Late night opening
“We also plan to pilot a late night opening from the new academic year to offer greater choice to our students, particularly those studying part-time.”
The new hours for both the Careers & Employability Service and the Learner Development Service will be 8.45 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
