Meet our new Health and Safety adviser

MANMETLIFE would like to extend a warm welcome to Chris Bolam who has recently been appointed to the role of health and safety adviser.
Chris, who replaces Alan Gibb, joins from the Cheshire NHS Trust where he spent 10 years working on health and safety.
Chris says: “This is a great opportunity for me. It’s a big job as there are such a range of activities that go on here which have an impact on health and safety.
“I’m looking forward to looking at the strengths and weaknesses of the systems and procedures that are in place and building on them.”
“However, I think my main priority is to help the team become more customer focused. Health and Safety can sometimes be seen as a burden, so we need to work hard to be seen as a service which improves the working environment.”
Chris joins Chris Thornley, Vince Bashford, Samina Zahoor and Paula Gibbons on the health and safety team which is part of the HR department and is based on the 3rd floor of Minshull House.
