CHALLENGING and beautiful artworks from our postgraduate cohort this week went on show simultaneously at the Holden Gallery, All Saints and at the RIBA Hub in Manchester city centre.
The MA Shows provide provide a public platform for the display of best work coming from a range of MA courses within the Manchester School of Art.
54 postgraduate students are showing work giving new and returning students a chance to be inspired and see the breath of work produced at a more advanced level.
Shows at the Holden are in two parts:
Part One – Fine Art, Media Arts, Textiles, Art as Environment, Filmmaking, Photography, landscape Architecture, until Thursday, October 6; Mon – Sat 10am – 4pm.
Part Two – Design, Contemporary Craft Practice, Design and Art Direction, Textiles, Three Dimensional Design, Photography and MA by Research, Thursday October 13 – Thursday October 20; Mon – Sat 10am – 4pm.
Architecture and Urbanism is shown at the RIBA Hub, 113-115 Portland Street until Friday, October 14; Mon – Friday 10am – 5.30pm, Sat 10am – 4pm.
Janet Bezzant, Principal Lecturer on the MA programme, said: “The MA Shows provide a great opportunity for us and our university wide colleagues to celebrate the work of our postgraduate students as they go forward in their professional lives.”
